Fishing with Rod: Rainbow trout release

On April 10th, 2008, the Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC released over 1000 rainbow trout into Lafarge Lake in Coquitlam. Up to 10000 rainbow trout are expected to be released into Lafarge Lake this season. These fish, weighing between 250g and 600g, are intended to be caught by anglers. It is an urban fishery that can be participated by anglers of all ages and skill levels. There are up to 20 lakes in the Lower Mainland where this put and take fishery takes place year round. The Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC is funded by your angling license dollars. @bayekane – would love to keep them wild – people eat fish like crazy – how do we protect the ocean and rivers? farmed fish is good idea – the waters of thw world are destroyed

god how do they not die being shot out of the tube like that. in the lake that i fish, they will release them by keeping them in a large net for a few months

The best thing to do would be to contact the Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC and see what are available. You can find their website address in the video description. There are actually five hatcheries that the society operates, which are responsible for fish stocking in 5,000 lakes across British Columbia.
